The Retirement Playbook Client Process

Purpose

The Retirement Playbook is a three-step client engagement process designed to help individuals and families better understand their financial situation, develop a personalized retirement strategy, and implement recommendations that align with their goals and objectives. The process is educational, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s individual circumstances.

Every successful retirement begins with a plan—and every great plan deserves a playbook.

Step 1 – Know Your Starting Point

The initial meeting is focused on understanding the client’s current financial picture and retirement objectives.

Topics may include:
·       Financial goals and priorities
·       Current assets, liabilities, income, and expenses
·       Existing retirement and investment accounts
·       Risk tolerance and investment preferences
·       Retirement income needs
·       Tax considerations
·       Insurance and estate planning discussions
·       Questions and concerns about retirement

Following this meeting, the information gathered is reviewed to determine potential planning opportunities.

Step 2 – Design Your Playbook

Using the information provided, a personalized retirement strategy is developed for the client.

Recommendations may include:
·       Retirement income planning concepts
·       Investment allocation recommendations
·       Risk management considerations
·       Tax-efficient planning strategies, when appropriate
·       Account recommendations, if applicable
·       Identification of potential planning gaps
·       Discussion of available options and next steps

Clients are encouraged to ask questions and consider their options before making any financial decisions.

Step 3 – Execute the Game Plan

If the client elects to move forward, recommendations are implemented according to the client’s instructions.

Implementation may include:
·       Opening investment or advisory accounts
·       Completing required account paperwork
·       Coordinating asset transfers, when appropriate
·       Establishing investment allocations
·       Reviewing account features and beneficiary designations
·       Scheduling future review meetings

Ongoing review meetings are conducted periodically to evaluate progress toward the client’s goals and to discuss changes in financial circumstances, objectives, or planning needs. Recommendations are reviewed and adjusted as appropriate based on the client’s evolving situation.

The Retirement Playbook is intended to provide a structured planning framework. All recommendations are individualized based on each client’s financial circumstances, objectives, risk tolerance, and investment preferences.
